[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a compact bookshelf system. I got it! Good unit overall. The sound is good for a small stereo. I do wish it had separate volume, treble & bass knobs. I also wish it had a knob for channel selections. The antenna should not have a string antenna. A antenna connection at the back of the unit would have been a better choice. Overall I do like the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Micro Music System met my music option needs for our bedroom . . . CD, USB and FM radio. I have recorded music on a flash drive, then inserted it into the USB port to then select what I want to listen to. We also still have many CD that I wanted to be able to use in a player. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the sound from the speakers did not have the deepest bass sound I like, so I attached 2 Philips book shelf speakers I already had from a previous book shelf system and now it sounds fantastic. The speakers probably are fine for most people but I needed that fuller sound. Not the thumping sound of a subwoofer, just the old fashion fuller/deeper bass sound from the old traditional stereo's that had a Woofer, Mid-range and Tweeter 3-way setup. For me, it's all about the full range sound. The speakers can get loud enough to fill the room with no problem, I just like more deeper bass available.

Fabulous Sound from a small unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted a shelf stereo system and did a lot of research and saw all the high ratings this Philips Micro System received and decided to purchase it. I primarily wanted a system to play all the CDs we have probably over 100 and this unit delivers. Very easy to assemble. We had it up and running out of the box within 7 minutes. The sound quality is really outstanding for a small unit. Very pleased.

Haven't had but a couple of months. The cd player plays well. The speakers are ok not great. It plays pretty good on the cd part but when I play with bluetooth the volume goes way down and have to turn it way up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the remote control. I can switch between CD, FM, and Blue Tooth without leaving my couch. It's very compact but has a big sound. The separate speakers are attractive and also compact.
