[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this trash can. It’s well made and sturdy. Doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. I also really like that it holds the trash bag in place. There is something that fits over the rim to keep the bag from sliding. I think that is GENIUS! The only thing I find is a bit annoying is that the lid goes down slowly. Other than that I think it is a great trash can! I would recommend it, especially if the slowness doesn’t bother you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This UMBRA Brim Step On Trash Can is perfect in my house! The size is perfect and the step on feature is easy to use for the entire family. I like that we don't have to touch the germs on the trash can while opening it. I also really like the color and the brim feature that holds the trash bag in place. Overall, this trash can works perfect for our needs and I recommend to anyone looking for this size.

Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sleek looking trash can with a modern feel to it. I like the round curves and design and the silver accent food pedal and trim. Since it's round, you won't be able to have them fit nicely next to one another (let's say you want one for trash, one for recycle). It's a decent size- holds enough so you don't have to empty it often but doesn't take up too much space. I'd say it's just the right balance of those two things.
It looks nice in our kitchen, but I'm not keeping it there as it has one huge drawback. It's been designed so that the lid closes slowly, rather than slamming shut. That's cool, but the lid closes WAY too slowly. It takes 16 secs for it to close (yes, we timed it), which is long enough for trash smells to escape and be noticed (assuming you place this in your kitchen as we did). I personally prefer the stink to stay INSIDE the trash can. I suppose you could close it with your hand, but that's pretty unsanitary and I wouldn't want to do that (or tell kids they had to do that).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best trash can to date!

It makes it a lot easier to use in a house with so many people living here this has been a blessing in disguise. The trash can we had before the lid was a pain to deal with & now with this step trash can to open it's easier to do the trash & have no messes because no one is in a hurry since you have to step on the peddle to open up the lid. I love the grayish silver color that my product came in, usually I've had white or black trash cans this one is different & I enjoy it very much so. It measures 17 inches by 25 ½ inches by 13 inches and holds large 13-gallon garbage bags, clean up with a damp cloth, features a locking lid that stays open for easy trash bag removal & place a new one in with no hassles either. I enjoy this product very much & it's also very sturdy & durable. I enjoy my new trash can very much & I know will last many years!

Quiet close, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this garbage can. It's not overly bulky, gotta nicely in the space I have and had a really great look. It looks really high end. The rim to hold the bag is so handy. Fits on easily and holds the bag firmly so no more bags falling in. The lid opens and closes quietly, no slamming and banging. The lid closes completely so it keeps nosy cats out and contains any kitchen odors as well. Overall I'm really happy with this and would definitely get another. 10/10

The ring holds a bag perfectly- others I have had in the past always let one corner slip, spilling garbage into the can to have t be cleaned out later. The step to open works very nicely and it closes completely ( great to keep pets out!). It is a very durable plastic. I am very pleased with this product!
