Great home office shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shred a lot of paper due to running two businesses. I have gone through several shredders due to them not functioning to my satisfaction. The first thing I noticed about this shredder was how quiet it was! It was also able to easily handle bundled documents with ease. The shredder itself is well constructed. A solid bin for the paper to go in. The cutting is also impressive. Very compact allowing great security. I will continue to use this shredder frequently. If you’ve been on the fence about it, just do it! You won’t regret it! I received this product free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I received the shredder about 3 weeks ago. Shipping was prompt and timely. It was well and carefully packaged, a good sign that the assembler cares about the shredder. I use the shredder in my home office. It sits on the floor underneath my desk. I use it essentially every day. I have intentionally fed up to 8 sheets at a time. It has never jammed. Unlike my old Fellowes shredder, this one clears the blades each time it is used. No build-up of particles that eventually clog the shredder. Bin capacity is good. When full will essentially fill up a tall kitchen garbage bag. I haven't had the shredder long enough to actually judge the durability. I think this is a well-designed and well-made shredder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this shredder about 2 weeks ago in exchange for my unbiased and honest review. Only one point of contention. The machine is rather quiet for a cross-cutting shredder but not ultra quiet. The design of the machine with handles in the middle instead of the sides gives great stability when moving. There seems to be a safety feature that requires giving a slight push to shred which is very thoughtful when one realizes that the paper should not be shredded. The speed, amount and types of papers to shred are as described in the manual. For those needing a cross-cutting shredder, I would highly recommend this Fellowes model.

Upgrading between Fellowes shredders

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Fellowes shredders since I became an adult. I keep one to shred all my important paperwork that contains any personal information. I currently own a 9C, but was offered a chance to participate in the Sampling Program and was sent an LX70 to review. It is altogether a better machine than the 9C. The LX70 has a larger storage compartment for the shreds, the machine runs quicker and IS quieter, but the noise is also a bit higher pitched on this machine...which took some getting use to. It is extremely sufficient, does not appear to jam (haven't had the ability to make it yet at least!) and performs as good, if not better than expected as a product of Fellowes. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Cons: noise is a higher pitched

LX70 meets and exceeds my expectations

Excellent, Compact Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder has more capacity than smaller shredders, but takes very little space. It runs quietly, and operation is utterly intuitive. Do be sure to follow operation guidelines in order to avoid paper jamming. I am a fan.

Effective quieter shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Note: I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This shredder is a lovely upgrade. It's quieter, completely shreds more pages, and the bin allows for seeing the level of the shredded paper. It worked smoothly on testing multiple sheets and plastic cards. The biggest negative was trying to empty the collection bucket as it's quite large. Overall, I enjoyed using this for my shredding.
