Disappointing - Not a true lift away

I got this vacuum to replace the Shark vacuum I'd had for years after its motor went out. I loved the old vacuum and thought it was very versatile and it picked up all the dog hair and dirt from my floors. I thought this model would be even better because it has the power detect feature and the suction going forward and backwards. It does a good job of cleaning my floors, but I'm very disappointed that it's marketed as a "lift-away" vacuum but the lift-away feature is useless. On my old vacuum, the "pod" would come off of the pole and the head of the vacuum was still attached so I could vacuum under the bed, tables, etc. On this new model the "lift-away" just means the head of the vacuum detaches so you can't vacuum under anything. What's the point of that? I feel like Shark is misleading people with the false advertising in a blatant money grab. I've been using Shark products for many years and have always been pleased on their cleaning performance, but after this intentional misdirection to get people to spend more money, I think I'm going to have to start researching other companies and products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lift Away = NO Vacuuming

What's the point of having a Lift Away feature if you CAN'T vacuum UNDER anything? Once the "pod" is separated, the vacuum head with the rollers is inoperable. My previous Shark vacuum at the same price point had this feature. Now it's only offered for the top of the line models. Ridiculous!

Expensive for not delivering all promised!

I bought this a few weeks ago in hopes of it being as good as the Shark Apex Duo Clean I had for years. Not quite but okay. Doesn’t pickup going backwards like it says it will. Also have to go over several times on hardwood floors to pickup cat litter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not happy

This is my 4th Shark vacuum purchase over the years. I really am satisfied with shark But with my last purchase of the shark lift away detect I have an issue with the cord. It is very very stiff and keeps it wound up position even when unwound so I am constantly tripping over it and fighting with it. None of my other sharks were like this. I wish I could take this one back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second one I’ve purchased. The first one I had for years. However, for the first one I had to purchase a second motorized nozzle because the small hose that attaches it to the wand becomes brittle and develops a tear. The hose can’t be replaced. They’ve done the same thing with the newer version. I think this is a weakness in the design. Maybe they could at least design a way to change the hose. Also on the new one there is no longer a light on the handle. The light was great for cleaning around areas with low light. How much more would it have cost to have just kept the light. After all said, I still purchased a second one because overall it performs great.

Good vac for the price.

Bought this to replace a dyson. Honesty is the best policy. It has its positives and negatives. It's light, good suction. It's quieter than my dyson. It's a bit bulky and not as maneuverable as I'm used to. The infomercial makes it a better than it is but that's understandable. I will say this. It's not expensive and probably the best vac for the money. It does a great job at cleaning and the automatic carpet to hard floor is a quick transition. All in all definitely worth the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No tool light

Recently purchased. It works well so far. Suction is great. Wish it had a light for when using the tools, like my old one. That’s a big miss for me. Electrical cord is a more rigid plastic, unlike my old one. It’s make it a little more difficult to wind/unwind.
I would recommend this to a friend!

DOES NOT LIKE PET HAIR

I purchased this vacuum about 1 year ago. First couple of times I used it I hated it from the start. If you have even the smallest snag in your rug it will catch it. Dust collects on the outside of the vacuum from the static. It is not pet hair friendly! You have to dig it out. Do not recommend this vacuum.
