Amazing battery life, but had to return it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This was one of the most impressive laptops that I have seen. It was very powerful and had amazing battery life, but it had one major flaw - the Snapdragon processor. Even though Windows has created a nice emulator package to convert programs to run in ARM, the hardware compatibility is sorely lacking. For me there were two issues: One - no support for any bare metal backup software. Two - the legal battle between Qualcomm and ARM means that firmware and bios updates could severely limit this platform going forward. So back it went. I am waiting for an Arrowlake or Lunar Lake model to come to market and I will re-purchase.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It's extremely fast and the screen and camera are excellent. Very happy with this purchase. There are some limitations with ARM software to be aware of. For example, some adobe exists in ARM but others, like illustrator, not yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time. If you can be patient, this is a great laptop for people who need to do a lot of visual work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Finally, a great laptop!! This one check all the boxes from what I want from a laptop. After 3 weeks of usage, I'm very happy with my purchase. Awesome OLED screen, great keyboard, very good speakers, nice color and quality aluminium finish, very light, no fan noise, great performance from the processor, awesome battery life (almost a week without charging, using it every night). I was used to a 15.6 inches screen, but I don't miss it. this 14.5 inches seems as big, and prefer this factor size to the 16:9 ratio. I can finally used my laptop on my lap in the couch without being burned by my laptop. All this at a very well targeted price. Finally, a Windows Laptop that can compete with the MacBook M3 laptops. The only issue I had is the compatibility with Google Drive, but they're suppose to have a new version for the Snapdragon before the end of 2024. Great purchase, well done Lenovo!!!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This laptop had everything I was looking for in a new laptop at a great value price. Every feature I was looking for is either fully implemented, or partly implemented (ie: 90hz refresh rate monitor, hoping for 120hz) where the finished product is fantastic. Snapdragon CPU is amazing. This laptop is super light, last super long, functions super fast, and is super quiet.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Machine is well built, keyboard is fantastic, screen is amazing, touchpad and speakers could be better but are perfectly serviceable. Only complaint is that many programs do not support ARM CPUs yet.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am really liking this laptop. I was excited to try out the new Snapdragon chip and it has not disappointed. Most apps I use run natively, and the performance for those is very good. A few apps require emulation and they don't run as well, but they're still perfectly usable.
The OLED screen looks amazing, although it does use more battery compared to the dimmer, non-OLED snapdragon laptops. The battery life is still far better than any other laptop I have used though, even with the higher-powered screen. When using my laptop lightly, I have gone a full week without charging. I usually get ~12 hrs of battery life with regular usage and screen brightness. The laptop also barely gets hot, and I don't think I have ever heard the fans running, which is a nice change from my old laptop.
The build quality is great, especially for the price. The keyboard and trackpad are both very nice to use. I think the only real negative for me is the speakers, which aren't much better than phone speakers. Not really an issue for me, I don't use laptop speakers often.
All in all, a great laptop, would recommend!

Wonderful Laptop, Terrible OS (Windows. 11)

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The Slim 7x is a fantastic laptop. It has a to die for OLED display, offers robust performance and offers wondwerful battery life. The keyboard is up to Lenovo standards and the trackpad and audio while not perfect are totally acceptable. I loved the size and weight of this device and Lenovo allowing me to configure it with 32 GB RAM, Windows Pro and a 1 TB SSD for reasonable upgrade pricing.
I should mention that I have used Windows for several years but then switched to Mac for the last 10 or so. If you are a Windows fan you will love the Slim 7x but as a Mac user I found my rerturn to Windows frustrating. Windows seems to constantly get in your face whether it be nagging about using Edge or opening news articles in Edge when you've set Chrome as the default browser. Even setting up the computer initially felt like an endles series of questions and prompts. Coming form the Apple ecosystem I really struggled with the lack of features in Phone Link for an iPhone user. No message history, no group chats, it was terrible. The icing on the cake for me was on the second day Windows Hello lost all my credentials some how and I was forced to rescan my face and reset up my PIN again. It is bugs and glitches like this that made me switch to Mac years ago.
As much as I loved the Slim 7x, I just couldn't go back to Microsoft Windows. If you love Windows then no offence, we all have our preferences but for this Mac user I just couldn't tollerate Windows and the lack of iPhone support that I rely on everyday. I still think the Slim 7x was a really great computer and if it ran macOS I would still be using it.
So my 5 star rating is for the laptop itself but the downfall for me was Windows. I should also add that Lenovo was really professional in dealing with my return and refund. I liked so much about the Slim 7x, so if you are okay with Windows give this computer your consideration.
