Fast and easy

Super impressed with the ease of setup of my new wifi6 Orbi router! Paired with my 1000 fiber connection I’m getting blazing fast WiFi speeds. I had planned on running Ethernet to a few spots but the WiFi has been so solid that there has been no need.

Excellent Router, very good coverage

Great overall router. Worth the price if you have gig speed only and more than 30 devices connected. My nighthawk maxed out at 600mb/s at the router. This will give you full gig speed however you will only see a small bump in non wifi 6 device speed. I get 950 on a hardwired apple tv... make sure you reboot a few times while installing new devices. Had no hiccups connecting devices except the ring cameras and doorbell. A reboot corrected the issue... one last recommendation use CAT 8 ethernet cables for all hardwired connections especially from the modem to the router.

Trying to review the AX4200 Orbi

Want to review the Orbi AX 4200 but unable to find an option to write a review.
Decided to compare the Orbi AX4200 to the Orbi AC3000. first I have no ax compatible products so I did not test performance with wifi 6. While the AX4200 did improve wifi signal in the garage a lot, there was no meaningful increase in wifi performance in the rest of the house or outside. I could use WPA3 with everything except my thermostat 4th gen appletv and garage door opener, and my iphone 7 had to be manually reconnected constantly. Which is something I expected to be honest. the reason I will return the AX4200 is there isn't a fast roaming option like the AC3000 Orbi has. It would take several minutes or more for my macbook or iphones to move between the satellite and router, resulting in significantly reduced wifi performance. Fast Roaming worked perfectly for me, as I don't have wireless cameras or other stationary wifi devices in areas where the satellite and router wifi signals meet causing them to bounce back and fourth. If fast roaming would have been a feature that I could turn on I probably would have kept the AX4200.

Easy enough, fast enough

Setup was easy. The router does push fast speeds. I wish we could link the satellite via an Ethernet connection to ensure even faster speeds. My home is prewired for Ethernet in all locations, so if I could feed it a hardline connection, I’m sure that would keep everything pushing max speeds with no drops.

2021 , still no parental controls.

I will never trust Netgear even if they come up with the best mesh router possible. It is 2021, and we are still waiting for parental controls. What a pity! Watch for customer support to comment " it will be available in a future update and we don't have a specific time line yet ". Future was never so uncertain!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
