Not that great when you install more than two

We purchased 6 units to cover a large floor. The music kept dropping out so we had to buy a boost. That didn't solve the issue so we wired the boost into the modem and ran the speakers off the boost. Still issues with drop out. Have changed the channel and not sorted. The line of sight for these speakers on wireless is very limited and don't handle walls at all well
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Wireless
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bought this product again and again

I've purchased each part of the home theater separately Beam, Sub & Play 1 & 2 and the result is marvelous. Enjoying movies and playing video games the sound delivers as if I'm in the movie theatre. The wireless via WiFi avoids the need of wires and the connection of the speakers is dependent on high speed internet. I then added to the collection to sets of SL Speakers and placed them in four other rooms in the house. This is so I can listed to a song in my car via my phone and continue listening in my house from every room the speakers are in including the surround sound theater set up. The Sonos app is a plus, it's free and is easy to control the speakers. I've had a power outage and the speakers came back online within minutes of being off line.

I have 3 speakers in the house, in different rooms, and one outside near the pool. Great sound and easy to set-up! I highly recommend these speakers!

Not a better system available!

I primarily use the play one's because they are so versatile. Setup correctly I would challenge you to find a better sounding system. Perfect for easy listening. We never use the system at its highest volume, and if we do the system is very clear. I have 8 play ones with soundbar for media room and subwoofer for family room in a 4000 square foot home. All of my speakers are hidden and no one can ever figure out where the music is coming from. Simply the best. My friends envy my system setup!

Great product

We are "older" but because my Denon amp quit we were forced to move on to newer wifi technology. We started with 1 SL1 speaker and now have the Amp and 4 SL1 speakers. Just now getting familiar with the app, but all of this is easy to set up and use. We are very happy with all aspects of the Sonos system.
