Tried to set it up as a surround with a Sonos Beam. Never could get it to connect. If you set it up as multiple rooms, it works but with very low audio and it is not a true surround, which is what I bought it for. Called technical support. After trying to get it going they told me to download diagnostics and send them in. I told them forget it. This should not be that hard since it says it will work out of the box. Took it back BTW, neither of the Beams in my house will work on the ARC input of my TV's. 2 different brand TV's. i wont buy a Sonos product again. Should have went with my gut and bought Bose
Can't say enough about the sound, it's great for such a small speaker. Multi-room system is well executed and works without incident. Unfortunately, the UI is really not that good. At this price range the interface should be easier to use. Particularly, there is NO ability to play music from ANY platform. Seems like if you want to play music from a platform that is not supported by Sonos you will have a difficult time. At this price I expect better.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Doesn't make it easy to add your music library, Not so good interface
If you're planning to use a Sonos One SL stereo pair as speakers for watching movies on Mac OS, then forget about it. I experience a >2 second audio delay when I connect through Airplay. There is no other way to connect presently. My setup is that I connected my 2018 MBP to my TV via a USB-C to HDMI cable. And my audio output is Airplay to the Sonos. I've tried different browsers, resetting hardware, everything. Nothing works. Having said that though, aside from that flaw, I'm really pleased with the performance of these speakers. For my very small living room, the system really packs a punch.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
I been having trouble with this product since I've bought it. I sent it back and they sent me a new one which worked fine for the first two weeks, but eventually ended up having the same issues as the first one. Sometimes it connects fine, and other times I have to attempt multiple times to connect my phone via AirPlay. The only pro is when it does want to work, the quality of the sound is good.
I would not buy again, do not properly connect with Beam

The two Sonos one speakers work well together for music and sound great. When connected with our beam for surround sound they do not work properly, this was main reason we bought them for, really disappointing.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Only issue I have with sonos is the app isn't user friendly. Difficult to figure out how to use when wanting to play different speakers in different rooms. The sound quality is excellent.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: We have 4 sonos systems, app somewhat difficult
I have 3, just purchased the 3rd one for my bathroom. Love the sound but don't understand why the music will stop and then I have to hit play again and again. Also sometimes it won't connect or take time for it... I have very good internet.
