Worst vacuum ever!

I bought this because I have back and knee issues and thought it would be lightweight and easy to use, and have great power. Wrong on all accounts! It has virtually no suction on hardwoods and laminate, a little better suction on carpet. The roller gets caught on fibers or hair and will not turn. Unfortunately I no longer have the packaging or would attempt to send it back. As it is, I'm going back to Dyson!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic vacuum

Bought this to replace a terrible Bissell canister vacuum, so glad we did. No comparison, the Shark works so much better. We're mostly hardwood, with a dog, a three-year-old, and my wife who has long hair, and this vacuum handles it all with ease. It's super easy to get the hair off the roller when it's done, and the cord is so long we can vacuum the entire upper floor without changing outlets. Six months into owning I can say with certainty, this vacuum is fantastic and well worth the price.

I had a small apartment with combination flooring, carpet and hardwood when i purchased this machine. It is perfect for me. I could use the handheld feature to quickly pick up crumbs or vacuum under seat cushions or the stick to brush up the appearance of the carpet quickly when I was in a hurry. The suction is my favorite feature, you have to toggle between the suction levels when moving from one type of flooring to the next; but the switch is right at your finger tips so the transition is smooth. I also enjoy the fact now that i am in an over 2000 sq ft home with carpet throughout the upstairs and hardwood downstairs, I can still transition easily, the machine is light weight easy for me to transport from one level to the next and I can still run through the entire house quickly with confidence that the surfaces are clean.... I can see the results in the cup!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this item because I was going to have EXTENSIVE shoulder surgery.
Saw this on tv went to a local store purchased it..... tried it thought this would do... put it up I HAVE NO CARPETS
Started using it after my surgery UGH
IT DOES NOT EVEN PICK UP FRAGMENTS OF LITTLE CHIPS OF PEA GRAVEL... I live in the desert.
The FLOOR HEAD HAS SUCTION ON THE SIDES NOT OPEN LIKE TRADITIONAL VACUUMS. Back to the gravel
I AM NOT TALKING PEA GRAVEL WHOLE JUST THE CRUMBS YOU GET ON YOUR SHOES
IT IS TOP HEAVY ALSO WHEN YOU TILT THE VACUUM TO GO UNDER FURNITURE THE FLOOR HEAD LIFTS A LITTLE THEREFORE NOT DOING MUCH
VACUUMED THEN WENT BACK AND SWEPT MY GOODNESS WISH I WOULD HAVE TESTED IT FOR MIRE RHAN A FEW MINUTES....
