I received this as a gift and try to register it and cannot find a serial number. I looked at the pictures which is suppose to show where it is but nothing

Not-so-durable parts

I have used this vacuum for 1 to 2 years in a 15 x 15 room ONLY. #1: The rubber-like coating on the inside portion of the handle has deteriorated and peeled away. #2: The clear plastic hinge piece of the door used to empty the dirt from the canister has broken off. #3: Holes have formed in the flexible hose embedded in the roller head; the piece designed to constantly flex up & down and left & right. No matter how supposedly durable the remainder of the product is, these flimsy pieces make it worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our Shark Rocket HV300 has two settings. The manual shows which setting to use with either I or II. Ours has pictures. Not sure which one to use as the brushroller goes the same speed on both.

Lasted less then a one year, all the screw heads are different, you need special tools to remove them, they are so soft the heads strip out. The brush roller froze up, once the screws were removed the brush still would not release itself. Save your money.

Since this is the second HV300 corded I’ve bought I was surprised at the one star reviews. I bought the first one years ago and it’s still going strong but I got tired of dragging it to my business so bought a new o e for home. I have 8 cats and vacuum every other day. On hard surfaces, tile, linoleum, wood you have to have it on the lower setting or it will just bounce particles all over. On carpet I use it on high and it cleans very well.
I use my old Filter Queen (floor attachment no longer works) for furniture simply because I like the attachments. Haven’t tried the Shark on furniture. As far as standing up on its own; I just stand it up against the wall or woodwork and it stands just fine. You do have to stand it up straight. My old one has no defects but you do have to clean the inner filters or it will NOT pick up. With every other day use, I clean the inner filters every couple weeks. Easy to do.
