Great Kids’ Watch

Bought it two months ago for the kid, so far excellent watch. Pros: School Mode, Family Messaging, Location Tracking, Simple Use. Cons: Battery.

Doesn't work consistently

1. Battery will suddenly drain for no known reason. Maybe disconnected from home wifi, and then it just searches? Battery drained 100% overnight without any user interaction.
2. LTE connection is inconsistent. Sometimes it just stops working, even when it's just sitting in one place on the counter. Sometimes it just stops working while child is outside.

Love it

We bought this for our 10 year old so we can track and communicate with her (and avoid getting her a phone). The communication and GPS tracking work perfectly! Our daughter loves it because she can text us as well as track her workouts and activities. She loves all of the features of the watch. We are very excited Garmin came out with a smart watch with texting abilities for kids!!

Love this watch!

We’ve had this watch around a month now for my 9 year old and it has been great so far! We’ve gone through several watches at this point and this is the only one he will consistently wear due to comfort of the watch face and band. It’s easy to set up and use for both myself and my son. We set up different perimeters for school, aftercare, etc and it brings me so much comfort being able to keep up with his day. The sleep & activity tracker has also been fun for him to check at the end of each day or week. Highly recommend!!

Concept yay, execution meh.

My kid was pumped but battery barely lasts a day, it has major charging issues. My Garmin is bad enough and this one is so so so challenging to charge. The app was designed most likely without the help or influence of a UI or UX designer. Which is odd because I’ve grown to love Connect.
So. Sure. It’s good. Communicating via voice message while my kid is at school or out and about is really fun. But that’s about it for good functionality. (Although even that is broken on my app unless I quit and reopen). Maybe

Absolutely love it! Would buy again!

Got it a few weeks ago and I'm sooooo happy with this purchase. It does exactly what we need it to! The tracking is very accurate, the messages are sent & delivered within a matter of second most of the time. Some places inside brick wall building for exemple, signal may sometimes be not as good but that's not a big deal for us. Battery life is good enough, using live tracking drains it a little faster. Was worried it would be too big on my 8 yrs old daughter but not at all. She loves it!! Preset text can be customize to what she wants to tell us often which is great. She uses voice messages a lot more and her messages are always very clear. Would buy it again without hesitation.

Works great and kid friendly! I wish it had a call feature but overall it’s a good product and good starter for kids to have responsibilities; chores, reminders, alarms, exercise….

Slow and with a few bugs. Otherwise good

Messaging app is very slow to deliver and receive messages. Plus connectivity plan is quiet expensive for the service in provides. I also have to keep pairing the watch because it starts showing the wrong time other than that is fine.
