I’ve had nothing but problems with both my allure 2 locks. The auto lock feature no longer works. Trying to reconnect them via Bluetooth is impossible even after factor resets. I’m a huge Apple supporter but these are just junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 4th Assure Lock 2 and it's just as great as the others. I have had absolutely no problems with any of the locks, unlike some others. In reading other reviews, though, I wonder they actually read and followed the instructions... I had to move my wireless router to ensure a wifi signal to the most distant lock, the backset on one of the doors was really off (ended up replacing the door - it needed it anyway!) and all sorts of other important items, like inserting the wifi module BEFORE installing the batteries. Best smart lock on the market!

All works as described and installation instructions were easy to follow. If you have a deadbolt already installed this goes in smoothly. If you have not installed a deadbolt before, I found this no harder than any other. The app is simple, well designed, and easy to add others to.

I've had this for less than a month and its already beeped non-stop 2 times. I can't figure out exactly why, but reddit seems to think its because of dead batteries. For the past 3 days its been non-operational since I've taken out the batteries, until I get a chance to get new ones.

Frustrating battery life

The lock overall is solid, and seemingly high quality - the battery life is extremely frustrating though. I seem to go through batteries about every 4-6 weeks and both times, no notification the battery is almost dead - once which left me locked out of the house and forced to crawl through one of my windows like I'm sneaking back into my parents house late at night. I like the connectivity and all, but the battery life makes it hard to recommend.
