Drum sticks not included - be aware

We bought this drum set for my son's 13th birthday. Package arrived and packaged nicely. However only when we set it up did we notice no drum sticks were included. We understand this is a personal preference, but can you imagine that my son can not play when the set is up? A standard set should be included to get it started.
Otherwise nice set.
