Sound is good but they are huge compared to the first set I got. Won’t stay on my head.

New model shokz headset
on October 15, 2026

The previous model headset had a magnetic Electronic connection where you could just put the charging cord near it, and it would automatically mag draw to the headset, the current model you have to unplug a rubber connector and then insert a charging cable in a specific direction and in a specific orientation, very difficult compared to the old one if I had a choice, I would go back from the current model to the previous model for charging, but the sound for the current model is much better

Decent

This is my first pair of open-ear headphones, so I'm not sure what to expect. The fit is okay; they seem a little looser than I might've expected (the band at the back hangs down at an angle off my ears), but I've run a bunch of miles with them and they're comfortable. I don't imagine open-ear headphones will ever have the bass response of in-ear or over-the-ear headphones. The audio can be adjusted to several settings in the Shokx app.

I do not recommend this low-quality product.

I bought the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro 2 Bone Conduction Bluetooth Sport Headphones a few weeks ago to replace my ten-year-old AirPods. I was hoping for a superior product with longer battery life and good sound quality, but unfortunately, I am very disappointed.
Here are the primary issues I experienced:
Frequent Connectivity Problems: Many times when I tried to use the headphones, I had to repeatedly reconnect them to my iPhone because they failed to maintain a connection from previous use. On several occasions, I couldn't get them to connect at all unless I placed them on the charger (even when fully charged) and deleted all other Bluetooth devices from my phone. I have never experienced this problem with my old AirPods.
Volume Issues: Even in a completely quiet room, I have to set the volume to maximum just to hear anything. In slightly noisy environments (like city streets or the gym), it is virtually impossible to hear the audio. Wearing earplugs is basically mandatory to hear anything clearly, which defeats the purpose of open-ear bone conduction headphones.
Travel Issues: These headphones are almost unusable on an airplane because the noise makes it impossible to hear, even with high-quality earplugs. Additionally, the stiff headband presses against the back of your neck, making it uncomfortable to rest your head against a seat back. Finally, the bulky protective case takes up about 8 to 10 times more space in a travel bag than any standard wireless earbud case.
I am returning this overpriced and disappointing product. Having read many glowing reviews prior to purchasing, my hands-on experience leaves me with serious doubts about their credibility. The discrepancy is so stark that I can't help but wonder if many of these high ratings were generated by AI or posted by fake accounts.

Any moisture (sweat) and the speakers seems to clog making the sound tinny.

Having trouble any time a drop of sweat come in contact with the speakers. I wear these running in Florida so not sure how to avoid this. The result is a muffled very tinny sound.

Very Satisfied

I’ve been using JBL over the ear headphones for quite some time, but I have to say my new SHOKZ are superior in terms of comfort and overall sound quality given that the speaker is not resting at the opening of my ear canal . Shokz allows me to hear my music but also the surrounding environment. That’s important for me. It’s Great for bicycling. The only thing I don’t like is that I have to plug them in each time to recharge. They come with a charge cable but not a plug so if you don’t have one you will need to purchase the plug separately. The JBL’s charge automatically when dropped into their case and the case itself holds a charge when it’s not plugged in. That’s very convenient! Despite this short coming in design ( non charging case) I’m happy with the comfort and sound quality of my Shokz.

I love my mini pro.

I love my mini pro. This is my 3rd pair. I wear mine every day for 11 hrs a day. Occasionally they will make my ears hurt but I think my glasses contribute to it too. I try not to use the volume buttons and turn them up by my phone. They wear out quicker if I dont. People ask me all the time if I like them I tell them. YES. their the best
