Worth the upgrade!

Even though I’d bought my first pair of Shokz Linus’s a couple of months prior to the release of the upgraded versions, I am pleased with my purchase of these new pair!
The two major upgrades for me was in battery life (they last a full day at work) and the USB-C charging (one charger to rule them all). Sound quality is noticeably improved as well!

Surprisingly outstanding

I was frankly skepitcal about this new model and could not imagine the sort of technical magic that would give bone conduction anything like the range of frequencies included with good acoustic headphones. This was also why I was only willing to try them on the special offer of easy return if I was not impressed.
But I am impressed.
Shokx has pulled off some serious magic and the result in amazing. I also was doubtful (I own 3 previous Shokz) that I could use these for cycling as the ambient wind noise has always been much more than bone conduction could overcome. I have changed my mind on that front too. I can easily listen until about 40 km/hr, which is about as good as it gets for headphones that do not leave me deaf to surrounding traffic. Final praise is for the smooth way these handle moving between two sources (or even more if I use the Shokx app.
Great work, Shokx and thanks for including me in the early-adopter program.

An improvement

I can tell the speakers are upgraded. However they did not add any type of cushion for where it actually goes over the ear. Which is where they end up feeling uncomfortable. They are still a pain to wear with glasses as they compete for the same space

Best sound so far from Shokz

These definitely have the best sound from all the shokz I have had so far. I also have the opening and open comm 2 models. They aren’t as loud as the originals but they also don’t vibrate your brain. I have however had issues with being heard talking on the phone in louder areas and do with they had the higher water resistance of the original open run model.

Not what they are advertised

For the wearer, the sound volume in any environment expect a controlled, quiet one is pretty much inaudible. AND the audio quality for the counterparty is low. Sadly, the headset doesn’t live up to its hype and I wish I could get a full refund on each of the 3 different sets I bought to test out.

I like the headphones they are slightly better than the old pro battery last a little longer and is just as comfortable as the last. I wish I had waited maybe two more months before I bought the first pro so I could have just gotten this one. But I was glad to try the headphones for free and return to know what headphone I was getting next.
