The sound on the first
on September 18, 2024

The sound on the first OpenRun pro's where louder. I had then for 2 years and worked great while repaired forklifts. I under because they fired more of the sound into temple than towards eardrums. The OpenRun Pro 2 are better for running and not necessarily if you work in a loud environment. The battery life is phenomenal. Longer lasting and faster charging than the previous model.

The new shokz are almost everything they advertised. The ease of use and ability to pair multiple devices through the app is awesome! Rich sound just wish they were louder in a non quiet environment.

Absolutely Love my OpenRun Pro2
on September 18, 2024

I first discovered Shokz earlier this year and purchased the OpenRun Pro. The OpenRun Pro2 have significantly better sound quality and are more comfortable. I can wear the OpenRun Pro2 all day long, enjoying their long battery life and ease of use. The bass boost is great and the depth of sound is fantastic. These are my favorite Shokz yet.

OpenRun Pro 2: Better Bass, Less Buzz
on September 18, 2024

I've been a Shokz fan/follower from pretty much the beginning (even back when they still had a cord) and owned most of the models throughout the years. One of the weaknesses has always been low frequency response, and another was a vibration they created at high volumes. The OpenRun Pro 2 addresses both beautifully. They fit every bit as well as the previous model, comfortable, secure, etc, but now the listening experience has been elevated with MUCH improved low frequency response, but at the same time, maxing out the volume doesn't make them vibrate against your head. Nicely done, Shokz! If there are any weaknesses to the new design, they probably have a "little" more sound leakage to people in close proximity (likely due to the secondary audio emitter) and their volume level doesn't seem to go "quite" as loud as the previous version (though I've never had an issue getting enough volume even with significant wind noise on the MTB - feels to me like one less volume button-press - maybe half a button-press). These are both nitpicky to try to find something to complain about. All in all, great upgrade to an already phenomenal product. Keep up the good work (and add these wonderful physical volume buttons to the OpenFit while y'all are at it ;) ).

I have worn the aftershokz for a long time and love them. Last year I bought the openrun as a replacement and was not impressed. I hated the specialty charger and I could never tell what notification sounds were coming through because the beginning of everything was cutoff, including gps directions. I bought the openrun2 as a trial hoping that they fixed these issues and was pleased to see that they have. The notification sounds are exactly what they are supposed to be now, which is important for me as a business owner who conducts a lot of business on my phone while doing other things. They are also USB-C now to charge, which means I can charge them anywhere when needed. However, these are noticeably quieter at top volume than my aftershokz are. Those would rattle the sides of my face when turned up, and these never hit that point. It will be fine for 90% of uses, but when I am running some machinery they don't quite hit the volume I would like. I wear earplugs a significant amount of my day as well and these still aren't always loud enough. Interestingly, when I put earplugs in with my aftershokz it makes the sounds from the headphones much louder, and I don't have the same affect with the openrun2 headphones. Not sure why, as the tech is reasonably the same. This affect could also be why I don't feel like they go loud enough. With the aftershokz I would put earplugs in and turn down the volume on the headset, with the new version I keep the volume the same or even turn it up when I put headphones in. All in all, my aftershokz were wearing out and I needed a replacement. I am glad this pair will work well for my needs, since the openrun(1) did not.

I love these, I have

I love these, I have other pairs. But the reason this one gets 4 instead of 5 is because I have gotten used to the voice letting me know the power is on/off and what it is being connected to. These do not give me any of that information... just beeps. Disappointing.
