Just got my 5th set of aftershocks and this is the latest generation and the sound quality is very poor. I have told everyone about the superiority of Aftershokz and unfortunately this latest version requires me to stick my finger in my ear to hear phone conversations. Not convenient at all…unhappy
Decent headphones, not enough improvement over prior versions

Love my Shokz. However, these were not enough if a significant improvement for me to keep past the 2 week free trial period offer. They were a bit more comfortable than the open run pro shokz that I still have. Other than that, solid product as usual, but I couldn't tell that much of a difference from open run pro.
Initial thoughts. This is my 4th generation of Shokz and I expecting more and really feel that they are not worth the hype. I loved my prior pair and had high hopes for these but really am not impressed. Should have saved my money and just got another pair of Open Run Pro I even have the swim Shokz and they sound better than Open Run Pro2.
The OpenRun Pro 2 are exceptionally comfortable. The sound quality has improved significantly. The material used is of high quality, making them suitable for various environments.
I've been using bone conduction headsets for about 2 years now. My first pair was the Aftershokz (now OpenRun) model. When I upgraded to the OpenRun Pro, I noticed an immediate improvement in the sound quality, mainly on improved bass response. I also discovered the convenience of using these headsets as my daily work headsets since I could comfortably participate on video calls and still hear the sounds going on around me.
I was a bit skeptical about the OpenRun2's but figured I had 14 days with the free trial program to give it a go. The OpenRun2's offer even better bass response and eliminate the rattling in the actuators when you turn the volume up to near max.
While I'm still skeptical that bone conduction will ever rival in-ear headsets for sound quality, the Pro2's are approaching in-ear quality with the on-going benefit of keeping your ear canal open to hear your surroundings.
