Needed a bigger generator

We bought a bigger RV and had the Wgen4500df and liked it so we purchased When 9500 df because the 4500 was reliable and always started on demand.

This is my 4th generator I've bought in the last 2 months. I guess 4 the time is a charm. My neighbor suggested I buy this model and I'm glad I did. It will more than meet my needs. Expecially when I lose power almost monthly.

Solid Unit

This generator is well built and solid. It comes with everything you need to get started, including oil and a unique oil funnel to make adding oil to the unit easy and spill free. It runs smooth. I bought it to power our home during power outages, which is done by connecting a 50 amp cord from the generator to a receptacle I installed next to our home breaker panel. My only complaint with this unit is the location of the 50 amp outlet on the generator. It is directly above the wheel, which creates an obstruction for the 50 amp cord, and makes it difficult for the plug to enter the outlet fully. This is due to the 90 degree elbow on virtually all 50 amp cords. They are constructed this way (vs. a straight cord, like a 30 amp) to not put so much force on the outlet because the 50 amp cords are very heavy due to their thickness (6 gauge for my 25 foot). Photo attached.
For this size unit, which is used commonly with 50 amp power generation, it would make sense to swap the location of the 50 amp outlet with the 120V receptacles. Hence the 4 star rating.

So much power in such a small package!

I'm really impressed with the power and great features this generator has to offer. Such as remote and push button start, the option of using gas or propane, 6.6 gallon fuel tank for a long runtime, and a meter to display voltage, frequency, and total run time with maintenance reminders just to name a few. This machine has got it all!
