Westinghouse was recommended by my brother-In-Law. I have never owned a portable generator, but borrowed one because of living in hurricane alley. It was not a Westinghouse, and I did not care for the pull start. Because of the start of hurricane season, I figured it was time to own my own and we purchased the Westinghouse duel fuel electric start. After adding the supplied oil, connecting the battery and checking all the instructions, I hooked it up to the remains of a propane tank. Using the handy dandy Push Start button, that baby fired right up! Shut it down to double check oil, it was spot on. I tried again with the remote, and like a champ, it fired up! I hooked up a shop fan just to load it up a bit and it delivered!. So pleased with the purchase. I'll will have an electrician hook up my house, and be ready, if needed, for the next power outage.

I have waited a year to open my generator but I’m finally getting around to setting it up and it looks awesome. Hope to have it running soon so we can be fully prepared for hurricane season.

I just got this generator and fired it up for the first time. Having the remote start is super convenient. Also running off of propane is a nice feature. Now I’m looking forward to hurricane season so I can use my new toy

Easy to Use and Peace of Mind

Excellent, versatile generator. I purchased this for the occasional power outage, and was told by an electrical guy that this will be more than enough for our little hobby farm. The initial setup was super easy to do, even for a relative beginner like me. The dual fuel capabilities provide peace of mind that we'll be up and running no matter what or where. The push button start and remote operation, while not totally necessary for my purposes, are still worth completely worth it for the grin on my face.

With all the storms we had last year i needed something i can depemd on last two choices were duramax amd westinhouse i chose the wgem9500df...

Works as advertised

I recently purchased this unit as a power back up for my house. I have not had to use it thus far however I have started it and ran some smaller electronic devices. The electronic start is awesome. Starts with ease. Tested the remote starter and it works as well.
