Thought Westinghouse was a top brand generator

Bought brand new and would only run off propane. Had to contact Westinghouse and go through a few steps. They emailed me and provided me with a service location to drop it off at for it to be diagnosed and repaired. Not really what I was hoping for and sure worries me now on the reliability of this generator. Also wasn’t excited about having to load up a 250lb generator and drive it in to town to leave it for “at least two weeks”, according to the service center.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently purchased the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF the unit was very easy to set up and it started right up after adding gas and oil. I ran it for a couple hours then changed the oil. It’s everything I expected it to be.
I would recommend this to a friend!

EXCELLENT GENERATOR

I recently purchased this generator.
Assembly was real easy it took about 30 min to complete
Has all the features that you would need.
I compared to several brands and in my opinion this was the best one in this size.
Noise level is not bad from about 25 ft i could talk to another person with no problem

Awesome features!!

I bought this a few weeks ago to power several circuits in my house when the power is out. It’s easy to move around once the wheels are installed and isn’t overly loud when running. Very happy with the purchase so far!!

Lot of Great Features at a responsible price

Well packaged and started up fast and ran good. Only issue right out of the box is a faulty wire plug for the electric start. The black wire will not stay in the plug, it vibrates out when running. . No big deal breaker and a cheap warranty fix for them. I need to call customer service and see how good the service is right of the bat.

Great Features

Shipping was fast. It was here in 1 week as advertised and in good condition. I really like the push button start feature and the remote start. I have only had it for a couple weeks, and haven't had a chance to put it through its paces. But it worked great after putting oil and gas in it. I'm looking forward to configuring it to hook up to a transfer box on the house.
