Excellent Choice for Alternate Power

We had our electrician set up our generator with a direct propane line with a cutoff valve, a circuit box with 10 circuits run by the generator which we can switch to when the power goes out. This is a sweet set up since when we need power, we simply turn on the propane valve, plug the generator into the secondary circuit box, start up the generator, and switch over to our generator box for power. No fumes that I've noticed, volume while running the 9500 is probably less than our lawn mower, and the power seems to cover our draw--unless perhaps we turn on every appliance in the house all at once. It's a real rescue for California outages due to fire danger in the summer or high winds in the winter!

Great power. instant start.

bought this about a month ago. as soon as it was delivered i had to put in gas and start it up. set-up out of the box was a breeze. machine started instantly, and was not as loud as other generators i have used. when our power goes out this will power my entire house.

Perfect for what I wanted!

Did lots of research and wanted to make sure that I got the right unit. Had a whole house transfer switch installed. It powers the entire house, the unit started right up and was much quieter than the unit that it replaced. Was very glad it has dual fuel option. Being able to run it on propane is a big convenience, especially during major outages when gasoline is not readily available. You don't need city power to get propane and it stores more easily.
My electrician said he has used this unit before and for the price and versatility...it is a great choice.

I bought this and with any bigger purchase I'm worried I made a mistake and then regret sets in ......but NOT with this. The features and build quality are phenomenal. I am very much surprised I got this for the price I did. To be honest I'm starting to get excited and cant wait til next power outage. I have a good feeling this will be around for many years with proper maintenance. Only regret you will have is if you dont buy this gen (WGen9500DF)

Exceeds my expectations - great quality ... Generator arrived in perfect condition and it was well packaged in it's container with no damage.I am very pleased with this WGen9500DF and highly recommend it. Best wishes!
After Austin, TX experienced a freeze in February that left my house without power for two full days, I did some quick research and when demand eased a bit, I bought the WGen9500DF. Very pleased that it runs my central A/C (3 tons) and everything else in my house.

I’ve seen a couple of reviews with complaints about starting issues, etc. Mine started the very first time, and has started easily every time. I’d guess I’ve fired it up a dozen times, maybe more.
Fantastic! Even my electricians were impressed with the features and performance of this generator. It powered my 3.5 ton central A/C and a few other nominal circuits. However, the A/C is not my primary intent, as that was only to see if it could…and it did. I have a portable A/C & heater that I will plug if needed, rather than using central A/C
