After a lot of research, I settled on the WGen9500DF because of all of the features. The use of Gas and Propane, Push Button Start, Remote-Start, Smart Switch Connection Port, Battery Charger Port and Westinghouse even provided the Battery Tender/Charger. This generator carries all of the homes essentials, Well Pump, Both Refrigerators, Home Office/Computer/Network Equipment, all the Lights/Receptacles, Cloth Washer and Dryer and even the Stove. The only item missing is the Hot Water Heater and we re-charge it by isolating the Well Pump and the Stove during the cycle.

I bought this generator and it was delivered 12 days later. Had to put the wheels on and that's about it. Oh don't forget the oil. You will have to fill with the included oil first. First time I started it with the supplied remote control. It fired right up. Tried out some power tools etc. Exceeded my expectations.

Easy Setup and Operation

I received the WGen9500DF generator today. Setup was simple and startup was a breeze. The generator ran smoothly and was quieter than expected, and the remote starter fob works great. Connecting to LP was easy, and switching from gas to LP was effortless.

I purchased this generator two weeks ago, and it's already in my little generator house, and ready for winter. I am so amazed how many wonderful features this generator has. It can run on propane or gas, comes with a battery and battery maintainer, and believe it or not, a remote starter!! I am going to love that feature. The set-up was easy, and the operator's manual is the best manual I've ever seen. It has great instructions, and it's full of excellent pictures and diagrams - it has pictures and descriptions of everything you need to know along with step-by-step instructions that are in "large print" for older eyes like mine. This unit is well made and well designed. All of the features, that need to be accessed frequently, are located on the front of the generator including the oil drain and the crankcase where the oil is filled. A funnel, to add the oil, was even included. I live in a very wooded area in North Idaho and get a lot of cold weather and several feet of snow. Our electricity goes out often in the winter because of the trees falling over the power lines. It's predicted that this winter is going to be a doozey. This year, with my Westinghouse WGen 9500DF generator, I'll be ready for it.

I just received this generator. Arrived on time, no damage, very limited assemble required (tires and rubber feet). Well designed, user friendly and simple to operate. Started up immediately on both fuel types and ran smooth with multiple power loads. Highly recommend.

I bought this generator to replace a smaller 5500 watt. I needed something that would run my whole house with a 3 ton Air Conditioner. I was extremely impressed. Ran my large appliances with little effort. Even on propane I could run most things I needed. Also surprised how quiet it was with only a small load. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase.
