I have only had this unit for a couple of days. Some assembly required was a breeze and first time startup went off without a hitch, No problems. I fired the generator up on Propane and it ran smooth a could be. Overall the generator looks well built and hopefully there will be no problems down the road. I bought this unit because I foresee power outages in the future and I don't want to loose all my meat supply. I looked at a lot of different generators and Westinghouse seems to have the best customer rating. I have a long working history with Westinghouse and they have always worked with me if their was a problem with a product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far, so good. Starts right up from Propane Tank

I purchased this during an outage to replace a 20 yo generator which had been failing and has more wattage than my old one. This starts right up using the propane fuel, but need to use the electric start if using that fuel type. The pull rope does not turn over the engine enough to start from that fuel but would probably work fine on gas - I have not tested that yet.

Great Features!

I bought this last month to drive our house in power outages through a manual transfer switch. Haven't lost power, but tested after break in if the unit using propane. Works great and powers our grinder pump, which was key for us. The remote is really handy to turn it on and off. While I don't look forward to losing power, it won't be a bad as before.

Westinghouse 9500/8500 watt duel fuel generator

We live in Florida near the coast, so naturally a generator is a good insurance policy. We purchased a Westinghouse WGen 9500DFc. I had read fantastic reviews about the generator and the Westinghouse brand. This machine is as sturdy as they come. It's a relatively quiet operation, easy start and the duel fuel is a huge plus. If needed, we can use gas for a little extra power, but propane is a great back up plan. I love the push button start/stop since I'm a little older and rip cords/cranks are a bit much.

bought this in Jan. of this year, due to weather I hadn't taken it out of the garage until it was a little warmer. Once I did, it worked great and was quiet and powerful. Glad I bought it.
