Power when you need it

I recently had to purchase this generator for my house. I had a transfer switch attached to my house and the generator was more than enough power for it. I was also able to add my extra fridge in my garage. None of my food spoiled and we were able to live a semi normal life even though our power was off due to the tornado that hit our town in Oak Forest Illinois. I strongly recommend this generator for a family that is looking for backup power due to a bad storm and the lights go out.

Easy set-up

The instructions were easy to follow with limited set-up time. Simply added the oil & gas, connected the battery and hit start. Stopped and started at both the control panel and the remote fob.

Great whole home generator!

This it my first generator. I did a lot of research on brands, warranty, features, and price. Westinghouse is not a new company and knows how to market a great product. This 12,500 starting watt unit will power our central a/c, fridge, deep freezer, and another large appliance with ease (dishwasher, oven, hot water heater, washing machine or dryer)!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just purchased this generator after being without power for 5 days. After much searching for the best I decided on the Westinghouse 9500 dual fuel. Took it out of the box, install the wheels and support legs added oil and gas and one touch of the button and it was running. The unit is well laid out and easy to get to everything. They have even redone the battery connector so all you have to do is plug the 2 wires together. Also like the fact that it comes with a battery tender so you do not have to worry about a dead battery when the time comes to use it.

Powers most of the house

Nice features - especially the 50 amp outlet. Starts and runs fine. The auto choke may loosen up with use, right now it needs a nudge to move. Overall I'm very happy with the quality.

Great Generator!!!

Lost power after Isaias and decided its time to put a stop to that!! A co-worker recommended this model and I couldn't be happier. Easy to put the wheels together, very securely packaging and most of all starts right up and runs great out of the box. Also noticed its very solidly built and not cheaply made. Now going to get a transfer switch installed and i'm all set to go for the next outage.
I would recommend this to a friend!
