Nice quality generator

After several weeks of deliberation and reading reviews I decided on the Westinghouse generator for my purchase based on the quality, feature set, and price of this unit in that order. I have a few friends that have the westinghouse brand and they could not speak highly enough of the product. I actually borrowed one from a friend when I knew the power was going to be out for several days and had no problem running everything in my house. After delivery, I was not disappointed. This generator is built to last. Everything about it screams quality. Something as simple as a fuel shutoff being a metal petcock verses a plastic one. Up to 12 hour runtime is way above the rest, this allows me to get a full night sleep while running on generator power instead of waking up to a cold house due to running out of fuel in the middle of the night.
Assembly was a breeze. Attaching wheels and legs took less than 10 minutes. I opted on 5w-30 synthetic oil since it can get quite cold in Ohio.
Admittedly I have yet to fire this generator up, but based on past experience I feel like this is still a valid review.

9500DF Generator

I purchased this generator for a power failure backup because we live in a rural area in Oregon. I have it wired into my circuit panel with an interlock switch. It works very well powering my whole home. I usually turn off the central cooling/ heating and the electric stove just as a precautionary measure so I don't pull to much current, but it will power everything including our pellet stove.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ce que j'aime de cette génératrice;
La possibilité de la faire fonctionner au gaz ou au propane, le démarrage à distance, la puissance pour faire fonctionner toute la maison, la sortie de 50 amp. en 240v qui me permet de faire fonctionner ma soudeuse mig.
Ce que je n'aime pas;

Great Generator

Power was out a couple weeks ago and my old generator wouldn’t get it done anymore, ordered this one because it had all the features I was looking for at a great price ! Haven’t had a chance to use it yet , but I put it together and , ran it a little and got it all ready , just waiting for the power to go out again!

New generator and a problem from day 1

Bought a brand new Westinghouse WGen9500 and it will not start or run on gasoline. I called and I guess it’s a common problem with their new generators. They said the carburetor is probably gummed up from sitting after being tested. It says on the generator to use fuel stabilizer but they do not follow their own instructions. I asked if they use stabilizer and was told no. So I have to wait for a back ordered carburetor. Or I can return the generator for a refund or exchange. I haven’t fully tried it out to see if I would recommend to a friend so at the moment I’m going to say no. The generator will start and run on propane.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
