I bought this generator and if you can believe it, our power went out for 12 hours on the day this beauty arrived. The generator is perfect for us since it is portable and accommodate our three refrigerator/freezers. I love the features and did look at the thousands of five-star reviews. Well-built, remote start--so excited not having to worry about my expensive groceries being ruined.

I was in the market for a generator with the recent power outages and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy one. Originally I was after the 9000 Watt Predator from Harbor Freight but I wanted something with a little more running watts. I researched online searching for reputable brands and Westinghouse was one of them. After much digging I finally decided on this Westinghouse WGen9500DF. Sams Club had this generator priced at $999 plus tax with a projected delivery date 3 weeks from the day I ordered. To my surprise the generator showed up the same week I ordered it after 3 days! I love the dual fuel feature and how easily it switches from propane to gas. It comes with the wheel kit and handle. Battery charger included and battery was installed already just had to plug it in. I used the push start feature and this generator started on the first attempt. A little on the loud side but that was expected for a gas powered generator. Comes with a lot of cool features including a remote start. I don’t know how often I will be using that given that I have to do a safety check on the generator before every start but it’s pretty cool. So far I’m loving it and I have no regrets! All I hope is that Westinghouse makes good on their 3 year limited warranty if need be!!! Overall I do recommend this generator.

Love it Dual

I have double the ways of using the generator, propane which will be my preference and gasoline as my back up. Finding gas during a hurricane is hard and real time consuming. Having a remote to turn it on, makes me feel more safe while turning it on from afar. Would be nice if you can provide a tent to use when it rains at a good price.

I just recently bought this excellent generator. Haven't had long but it has worked flawlessly on the few times I've used it. I especially love the dual fuel option and the Remote start option. It is a Great value for the price.
