I was a professional nanny and not one of my 15 kids (over 5 years) could break my phone because of the OtterBox. It would fall from the top of the slide, pulled in a tug of war between 3 year olds, fly across the room and bounce off the wall. I dropped it all the time reaching for a little one trying to take off.

The design of this case is poor. The indent on the side allows for screen, or protector to crack when dropped. This happened to my husband within three days of having the new phone with case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
