I have several Cuisinart products, all of which I love to use. The Contact Griddler looks sleek, can cook as a press or an open grill and does a great job. It’s also easy to clean. The reason I didn’t give it more stars is the choice of settings doesn’t include all types of food I cook and the digital display is not the easiest to utilize, but I’m figuring it out.
Got this for my Husband for Father’s Day. I hated seeing him grilling in 100 degree temperatures and getting eaten up by mosquitos. So because He loves to grill, I thought this would be a great alternative. He loves it so far. The first time it took a while to figure out how to fold it over while cooking. It also leaked a little grease onto the counter, but nothing serious. We started with burgers and they were the juiciest burgers he’d made in a while. He really liked the timer and the settings also. I believe this is going to get a lot of use in our house.
I've only used it once so far, to make pancakes. It works much better than the griddle that I had. There is a little discrepancy in the heat of the two griddle plates, but I can work with it. Overall, I really like it and it will take the place of another countertop grill and a separate griddle, so it is freeing up some space for me. The only thing I don't love is that I do not find the controls to be intuitive. I will have to keep the instruction booklet handy until I get the hang of it, but I'm looking forward to using it more!
We have a flat top grill for outdoor cooking and were looking for a smaller option for indoor cooking. As a long time user of Cuisinart product, I searched out specifically these griddle options and decided to go with this option as it had some of the best features. We had an old school grill press but this one is so much better. Having the option to remove the grills and flip them around is the best feature, plus the digital display to perfectly set temperatures. Certainly would recommend this option after having just bought it but used over a half dozen times already.
