I gave my old one to my grandson when he moved into his own apartment then purchased a new one. I liked my old one better as it was easy to use the controls. This is is digital and is very hard to understand how to set the temperature and timer. I find my self not using it as much as I used my new one. I am sure once I can finely get the hang os the digital settings I will like more
I mainly got it to replace my Foreman grill for making panini's. But I have also used it for making french toast and bacon. So, I don't need my griddle now either. Works great.
I was amazed to find out I had been over cooking fish on my old grill after I cooked salmon on the smokeless setting on my new grill. The fish had more flavor and was much more moist than before.
The only gripe that I have about this grill is that the grill plates aren’t as deep as they should be around the edges. If you are using the grill and aren’t careful the grease can easily run down the back instead of draining into the grease catch
This is a very easy grill to use for steaks and hamburgers. In the smokeless mode, the grill is tipped so that fats and grease run into an easy to clean plastic tray. The grill plates go in the dishwasher. I have never grilled before, but now hamburgers are a breeze for me. Steaks can be grilled on one side at a time or both sides at once. Love it.
I have owned other panini grills but I like this one so much better and it is so versatile. I like the temp setting and the reversible grill plates. The best idea I saw from another reviewer was using parchment paper to grill food, which means NO clean up!
I love my Griddler! I haven’t used it in the open position yet, but I love that I have that option. And I love the almost square shape because things seem to fit better on it.
