It toasts very evenly. I only gave it 4 because like many other toaster ovens, it should have a timer/on switch and it doesn't. So, if you are baking a small dinner or some rolls, you have to rely on the physical appearance of the food or use your own timer . Otherwise, I recommend this it. After all, it's a Cuisinart!

All features work very well, especially the bagel toaster. I would like more headroom for the baking setting.The pan is said to be nonstick but mine is completely stained and can’t be cleaned.

My son bought me this for Christmas as I like the versatility of a toaster oven but in does a very poor job of toasting bread and bagels so I had to buy a toaster so disappointed.

I very much like this oven, but feel that a little insulation at least in the roof of the unit would greatly increase it's efficiency. Otherwise, I love this toaster/oven!
