Lots of options for toasting, baking, broiling. The dials aren't exact, so it's difficult to get the toast consistently the right color every time. I'm generally satisfied except for the very annoying alert tone when the toast is done -- it is SO LOUD and piercing that I set the toast for darker than needed so that I can turn it off before it goes off. Very jarring. If there's a fix for this, someone please tell me.
good purchase to reduce amount of appliances. No need to have a toaster anymore and great for cooking/baking needs for small items so you don't have to use the oven. Works very fast and easy to clean.
OF COURSE IT WORKS . TOASTS, BAKES, HAS A COOL BAGEL SETTING...HOWEVER, THERE IS REALLY NO EXCUSE FOR SUPPLYING THE UNIT WITH SUCH A POOR QUALITY BAKING TRAY--FOR A LITTLE MORE $ I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE A TEFLON OR GALVANIZED TRAY THAT CLEANS EASILY. THE TRAY DOES NOT CLEAN WELL.
ALSO, THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE SETTING FEATURES THAT I HAVE READ ARE TRUE FOR ME TOO--THE SETTINGS SHOULD BE DELINEATED IN WHITE AND PRINTED LARGER. THE SETTING RIDGE THAT STANDS UP ON EACH KNOB SHOULD ALSO HAVE BEEN DIFFERENTIATED IN COLOR, AS THE BLACK RIDGE ON THE BLACK KNOB IS NEXT TO INVISIBLE.
FINALLY, THE TOP OF THE UNIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSULATED BETTER. IT GETS DANGEROUSLY HOT.
THE ONLY REAL POSITIVE IS THAT IT IS A SMALL SIZE AND HAS A PLEASANT DESIGN, WITH A HANDLE THAT IS NOT "INDUSTRIAL" STRENGTH.
This is not our first Toaster Oven and we have found that we have overcooked or burned several dishes. Not sure if there is some bad sensors or what. One feature we miss is there is NO timer as we had before.
We had a Cuisinart Toaster Over for over 10 years and loved it. But finally the thermostat quit so we went back to Cuisinart. The newer one is larger, better designed, with a new feature -Bagel. Sadly we found it turned itself on from time to time even with the Mode switch in OFF. Reported it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (search for the report.) We got a new one under warranty and its fine. We like it. I'd buy one again. Make sure yours stays off or get a new one. The bad one is in the labs at Cuisinart for a post mortum.
