Everything wrong with modern appliances

Got this brand new out of the box and it wouldn't turn on. Come to find out that a millimeter sized piece of place broke off the bowl stopping it from turning on. I had a quisinart processor 40 years ago and it was a slayer. I primarily used it for shredding cheddar cheese and it performed perfectly. Eventually the plastic bowl cover deteriorated to the point that i had to replace the whole assembly so i decided to again go with a 7 cup quisinart. I tried using each shredder blade and found that i had to exert a lot of downward force on the feed to the point that i was distorting the shredder blade and overloading the motor. As a cheese shredder i have been singularly unimpressed with its performance.

A dream machine!

OMG! If you are on your own, this food processor is a dream!!! Easy to assemble and disassemble. Afterward, pop into top shelf of dishwasher. I only used it the first time and cannot wait to try out some nw recipes. Cuisinart, thank you for this new simpler model!
