I found it cumbersome to fill, the heat plate did not keep the coffee warm once the brew cycle stopped, and I burned my thumb from the steam venting from the carafe as I poured due to a poorly designed carafe.
This new coffee maker replaces a 10+ year old Cuisinart coffee maker that worked flawlessly until it just could not do it anymore. The new model has a greatly improved lid that seals nicely for brewing much better than the older version. Everything about the new one has me confident in the quality and longevity. The one thing I wish I could change about the new one is the clock is lit 24/7. It would be nice and save electricity to just have the clock lit when brewing or not at all.
We have owned three of these coffee makers, now. We have tried the most expensive, and the least expensive, but find this one makes the best tasting coffee, and lasts the longest.
The coffee maker is one of the best I’ve ever owned. The only problem is after my limited number of uses the heating tray is already stained and I can’t find useful advice on how to clean it.
