This unit is a replacement for a similarly sized Oster oven we've been using for over 20 years. We have been using it for about two weeks and it seems to work well in the toaster, baking, and reheating functions we usually use. There are minor issues with it that make it feel "lightweight" and a general feel in the controls and door that don't give me confidence I will get 20 years out of it. The rotating knob controller feels loose and the detents are indistinct. The door does not stay open when 3/4 open and keeps burning my wrist when it snaps shut. My fault of course. Just take some getting used to.
The versatility in the heating options are much better than my old unit, but I do miss the "defrost" setting on the Oster that was convection at about 120 degrees that did not put my glass storage dishes in jeopardy when going from freezer to defrost.
Solid little oven. Big enough but not too big. We like the display and ease of use. Heats to the correct temperatures. Very versatile. This is our second oven. First one lasted 7 years.
This unit replaced a previous model (which still works great and was handed down to my son). Works great on all settings - especially the oven which works just like my large oven.
Overall this is a very adequate kitchen accessory. Very easy to use and intuitive in design. I do find that there is inconsistency in temps across the upper and especially lower surfaces that shows easily on toasted items. Baking temps are on the hot side and times need to be adjusted down however quite a handy tool for quick baked potatoes. As to toast and bagel items, if you do back to back insertions the second batch is always under cooked so we have to up the time range one notch for the second batch. Other than that, we are quite happy with our purchase.
I am really happy with the purchase of this oven. The digital display is very user friendly and easy to use. You set your temperature and baking time then press the "Start" button. The pre-heating is quick and when the desired temperature is reached, you get a single tone to add your food and the timer automatically starts. It does not get any simpler than that! During my last use, I baked some breaded shrimp. I used the Convection baking option and the shrimp came out crunchy - just like I like it. I have received several burns from my previous toaster oven from the front door handle. The handle on my new Cuisenart Deluxe Oven stays cool, so no danger of burns. I haven't tried the toast function yet. Overall, I am glad I bought this oven over the others I was considering.
