When the cord on my much-used Cuisinart hand mixer frayed, I replaced it with another. It’s easy to adjust speeds and eject the beaters after use. Powerful enough to meet all my baking needs, even stiff batters. A good buy.

I was disappointed that this mixer did not have a lower speed setting. My first use was creaming butter for a cookie recipe. The lowest setting was too harsh. It sent butter flecks flying out of the bowl. It will definitely handle heavy jobs. It is definitely a well built, sturdy kitchen tool.

Power is a wonderful thing in a mixer but even the lowest setting makes gradually adding ingredients impossible. I'm an experienced baker who has used many a mixer and this one is so disappointing and difficult to manage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
