I love the thin mixers, but the motor has a plastic gear that breaks easily if you try to mix anything thick, but it does great on thin liquid batters.

This particular mixer was recently recommended in Consumer Reports. I'd been thinking of buying a hand mixer for a while but was uncertain as to which one I wanted with so many options. And since it's a Cuisinart I knew it would be a good purchase. The beaters must be put in as per instructions as they each have their own slot. Just an FYI. It works just great!
