This mixer is not good for heavy doughs. The gears stripped out on mine making buttercream filling for Bonbons. I replaced it with the same model mixer but will use my stand mixer for buttercream candy filling in the future.

It certainly mixes, but on the lowest setting, it whips up a storm. There is no way you could use it to fold ingredients. The first time I ejected the beaters, they flew a foot and a half across the counter.

Very good, overall. I wish there was a way to snap the beaters onto the side of the mixer for storage. My last mixer had plastic pieces on the sides for that. This is a better mixer, just a little less convenient and more expensive.
