Disappointed, whole berries get stuck atop blade.

First time using my new 13 cup food processor, I made cranberry relish and was disappointed to find that MANY of the whole cranberries I was attempting to slice, got stuck ABOVE the blade between the blade & the cover still MOSTLY WHOLE - at the space around the rim, and then proceeded to circle around stuck in that position rather than being shredded by the blade and dropping into the bowl. Meanwhile, other berries dropped into the bowl mostly whole (basically not shredded). This created a big mess, because I had to repeatedly open the lid to extract the whole and mostly whole berries to reinsert through the feeder after replacing the lid once again. VERY DISAPPOINTING and MESSY! Had used my mom's old Cuisinart 14 cup processor many times since the 1980s to make cranberry relish and this NEVER happened. MAJOR design flaw.

This food processor is much less easy to use than our earlier model. While it looks nice, the design makes it harder to insert blades for operation, and the stem and chopping blade often fail to run when chopping hard cheeses and other more solid produce.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The jury is still out on the in-bowl attachment storage. On the pro side, it saves cabinet space by not having a separate storage rack for the slicing and shredding disks. On the con side, it's a bit of a pain to have to remove the two disks and the storage rack and then assemble the metal blade to the spindle, since 90% of the time I use the metal blade.
I like that the motor base is lighter weight than my old model so it's easier to lift from cabinet to countertop. Performance seems to be fine. The small pusher is a little hard to get out of the medium pusher.

this is a must have tool in the kitchen, it makes short work of any chopping or blending. Easy to use and clean. Love the dicing kit for potatoes O'brien's and other finer chopping duties. For the price I was happy to see how powerful this machine is.

Only one star because I returned the dicer accessory kit without using it. The more I looked at it, the more I thought the cost was too much for something I would only use occasionally. Plus the fact that it was another item that would have to be stored in my packed kitchen!
