My husband and I both love this coffee bean grinder. I finally had enough of the daily task of grinding small amounts of beans at a time. We go through a lot of coffee and it was frustrating to open my canister of ground coffee when I wanted to make a pot or set it up the night before to auto-brew in the morning, only to find it empty! This grinder is fast, efficient and I can grind larger quantities at a time. In fact, I rarely have to grind beans at all now because my husband treats it like a new toy and loves being the bean grinder, haha!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a month ago, works well. Quieter than expected. I like the separate grind size setting and number of cups setting. So far it actually is anti-statice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: 1. It doesn't overheat and shut down, or need "rest periods." 2. It's fast. 3. It does a truly very good job of grinding beans to fine powder. 4. It's easy to clean.
Cons:
1. You can't walk away from it for a minute, because every 15 seconds or so it just stops pulling beans into the grinding chamber. I stand at the unit and swirl the beans around nonstop to keep the unit functioning. Makes it mighty hard to get anything else done. 2. It's jet-engine loud, which is bad on its own but all the worse since you have to stand over the unit and continually feed beans into the grinding chamber. 3. While I don't know whether the number selection for grind size (coarse, fine, etc.) is beneficial or accurate, the selection for number of cups has no effect at all.
Beans don’t flow into the grinder without encouragement, I.e., slap the side during grinding or you will wind up grinding air. Other than that it’s great.
