Great Speaker...wrong custom colors

I just received my custom JBL speaker last week. The sound and battery life exceed my expectations. Its a great little speaker that I know will last for a while. The reason for only 4 stars is that I made this a custom order, and the color scheme was wrong. While they include a disclaimer that no refunds on custom speakers, I wouldn't expect this to apply to a custom speaker that was made in error. In fact, the packing slip picture captured the colors accurately, however the actual speaker did not match its own packing slip.
So I would just recommend to whomever is creating the custom speaker colors and designs to use a little more attention to detail, especially when the customer won't be able to return it.

Overall good but not exceptional

Sound is pretty good but not what expected. Had a charge 3 for many years until the speaker finally gave out so figured we’d try the newer version. Overall I’m pretty happy with it but figured it would sound better, have better base and be a little clearer on vocals.

Is JBL intentionally down grading products?

I was happy with my Charge 6 til after I done an update. After the update the volume is not as loud as it was.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We recommend adjusting the EQ settings via the JBL Portable app to see if it will fix the volume issue. You might also try connecting the unit to a different device or performing a reset by pressing and holding the Volume (+) and Play buttons simultaneously until the unit powers off. Powerhouse

Just received today from my sons for Mother’s Day. Excellent sound, love how powerful this small Bluetooth speaker makes it seem like you’re right in the middle of a concert. It’s amazing how loud it is. I highly recommend to anyone. I will use daily, on vacations, cookouts and much more!!

The speaker is a great speaker but it is annoying when you would like to charge the speaker and you have a beeping sound. I have read about Salt detection and if the charger port is wet. The part about wet is not bad but the salt part we are on an island and around salt water with air. It had become a very annoying feature as the speak will not charge.

Great product! Poor software support w/ pairing

Great product as usual JBL! You guys make great speakers! Unfortunately the downfall with these newer JBL products is the connectivity/sync function with older JBL speakers is nonexistent!!! Quite disappointing for a company that maintains a good reputation. If you don’t have 2 JBL speakers with the same sync protocol it seems like you’re out of luck, regardless if you update the firmware or download the app. I expected better from you JBL. To further explain my problem, I have a new charge 6 and I cannot sync it to play with my JBL Boombox 2. It seems it’s not possible whatsoever. Quite frustrating

Disappointed

I was initially very excited for these speakers. I initially purchased one and loved it so I purchased a second one so I could use it in stereo mode which is great sounds fantastic. However they are marketing it as waterproof and durable however, even with extremely careful use the JBL emblem on the front is very delicate and the paint comes off despite treating the speakers with extreme care. For something that’s advertised as being rugged I’m not sure if that’s true.
