[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of many charge JBL portable speakers that I have acquired over the years. The charge 6 is a further refinement In this line of portable Bluetooth speakers. One complaint I've always had about the charge lineup of speakers is that there's no way to really hold them. The charge 6 come with an attachable strap that makes it easy to carry. The sound is as expected excellent. Deep base with clear highs and plenty of volume for indoors or out. Bluetooth range is excellent and it connects up very easily to my phone. It charges via a USB c port. I had it playing for over 8 hours yesterday on a full charge. I would highly recommend this as an addition to your portable speaker collection or as your first experience in Bluetooth portable speaker sound.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had 3 previous Charge speakers and to be honest, it's probably the best model series from JBL and it's not even close. The speaker is not too big, not too small, has a TON of battery life, can charge other speakers and phones, and still provide HUGE sound. Solid, tight bass, seriously big volume, it's portable but not obnoxiously large. It's the perfect speaker to sit between the Flip series and the Extreme. Pairing it took all of 5 seconds and it was ready to go. The handle is comfortable and easy to install and remove. I honestly couldn't be happier with the versatility of this speaker. My favorite JBL so far. Highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using JBL Charge speakers since 2015. One thing that stands out to me is how far technology has advanced since the first Charge speaker was introduced in 2013. The Charge 6 is the companies latest iteration of the Charge line of speakers. This model now offers the option to install a carry handle as two hooks have now been added on the top of the speaker. This is a great design as you can add and remove the fabric handle depending on your use case. This is a good looking speaker with or without the handle. Once I paired the speaker to my phone via bluetooth I opened the JBL Portable app which connected to the speaker and indicated the battery was charged to about 67%. The app prompted a software update was available which I proceeded to update. Within a few minutes the update was completed and the speaker restarted. The app allows you to adjust eq setting with four factory presets and one custom setting. The custom setting offers a 7 band eq which allows fine tuning of frequencies ranging from 125 Hz up to 8 kHz. I played a few of my favorite songs and the sound quality is superb. Highs are crisp, mids are clear and lows can be heard and felt. The volume can get loud as well. The speaker has a single USB C port in the back which is an in/out port. While the speaker is on it can be used to charge another device. A battery charge indicator is on a white led light in the front bottom portion of the speaker with good visibility. The physical buttons on the speaker are power, bluetooth, volume up, volume down, play/pause (double tap to skip track, triple tap to rewind track). The battery is rated at 24 hrs of playback on a full charge. I used the speaker for a week several times a day at high volumes and at the time of writing this review the battery had not been depleted. I was amazed I was able to get so many hours of playback on a single charge. The build quality is superb with strong fabric all around the body of the speaker. I can definitely recommend this speaker to anyone wanting a great sounding bluetooth speaker with all day battery life.
Pros: Sound quality, battery life, build quality, JBL Portable app. Cons: No USB C cable provided.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this charge 6i got this because i love reviewing jbl products this can even connect to my phone and charge it this is my GO TO ITEM when i need a smaller speaker for the shower i used to use a clip now i just yse this to listen to music in the shower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Likes: good sound clarity but with the jbl signature bass punch honestly i feel jbl is geeting better on the balance between clarity and bass, qulaity build as much as you have plastic most of the body is kind meshy rope cloth and that makes it feel sturdy and durable, overall speaker design, the colors that orange tone in the letters radiators buttons and the usb c port is really well put together, nice touch adding the latest bluetooth version and allowing user to tweak the sound thur the app. the water and dust resistant is a good feature as well. the 2 way set up for the strap is a nice touch
could improve or don't like: I understand that this is aims for outdoors mainly so maybe adding the basi eq buttons or option in the actual speaker? ,maybe for the ease of sound tweaking if you are away from smartphone? . did not like at all that it did not include the usb c cable. maybe dropping the power bank option and consider extending the play time.
There is not much to dislike about the product, the sound quality is good, conectivity is the latest bluetooth version , it is waterproof and has a day of juice to play music on the go, i like how in tiny subtle steps the desing on the jbl portable speaker is improving over the time while keeping the materials and touches tha characterize the brand.
