[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I felt the sale price made it a good value, however I was a little disappointed that the image quality from the display isn't quite as good as the ideapad this laptop is replacing. I only looked for a replacement because after 2 years of what I consider light usage, the hinges on the ideapad are very stiff and have cracked the case from the stress of opening the screen. The battery has also become virtually worthless. So, I went with the Thinkpad line due to their reputation for a more robust build quality and durability for business usage. In general, I find the performance to be equal to what I had with the ideapad, which was expected since they share the same processor, however the ideapad screen appears a bit more vibrant, with better contrast and sharper details. The screen on this thinkpad isn't bad by any means, it just falls slightly short of the ideapad that I've used for the last 2 years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this laptop for about a month now, and my overall impression is that it's an average laptop at an above-average price.
The primary issues I've encountered are:
• Performance: I've experienced sporadic black screens while using Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, along with random, unexplainable beeping sounds. The startup time is also slower than expected for a new device.
• Operational Quirks: The fingerprint scanner is inconsistent, and I've been unable to prevent the screen from turning off and going to sleep when streaming music, which is a significant inconvenience.
• Design Flaws: The arrow keys on the keyboard are smaller than I'm used to and are positioned too close to the Pg Up/Dn buttons, making editing and navigation difficult.
On the positive side, the adjustable keyboard backlighting is a useful feature, and the Lenovo Vantage app provides helpful settings for managing the laptop's longevity. The laptop doesn’t weigh too much for its size, and the graphics are pretty good.
Overall, if the laptop was free of issues, this would be worth its value. But with the issues, this is only an average laptop for an above average price in my opinion.
I love it. It's easy to use, and it's fast. When it was a time for a change, two IT professionals recommended Lenovo, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lenovo makes excellent laptops and the configuration was great. Had to upgrade for Windows 11, from mu old Lenovo. If I had any criticism, it would be for more light/indication around the power/fingerprint button. It could glow underneath or have a light circle around it for visibility
I enjoy using this laptop for any project, especially with a RAM upgrade—it can handle Google Chrome effortlessly. The overall quality of the laptop is impressive, and for the price, it feels like one of the best options available for schoolwork and business tasks. However, there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, you cannot choose or upgrade the graphics card or CPU, which can be limiting. Additionally, I wish there were a 2TB storage option instead of just a single drive. While I understand that these features might come at a higher cost and the company may prefer you to purchase a different model, I believe these limitations hold the laptop back. Overall, it’s very close to perfection but just misses the mark.
