From really good to really bad.

I won’t even spend the time describing the experience in our household other than to say that companies need to stop fixin’ what ‘ain’t’ broke. The new formula is disgusting. Clearly I’m not alone in my sentiments. Please bring back the original and keep it. It works. It’s pleasant. It’s mild. That’s why we all bought it. Sometimes I wonder if companies are looking to lose customers. Ingredient costs are are worth it if you like keeping customers. And no, I’m not calling you. Just fix it.

Disappointing

I have been using this Softsoap aloe had soap for years because it had a very light scent to it and it didn’t make my hands dry and itchy. But this new formula and scent changed all of that, and is the reason I’m using a different brand now. I am very sensitive to fragrances and this new, overwhelming scent gave me headaches. My hands also became drier when I used the soap.
I hope the soap goes back to what it was before, but I don’t think that’s likely; there’s so many complaints about the formula and scent but nothing’s changed so far. Disappointing that such a great product was changed. Hopefully the company decides to bring back or create another light-scented hand soap though!

Change in Scent is Awful

The change in scent is awful, just awful. The original scent was the reason I continually bought refills of this product. Now I am shopping around for a much more "palatable" scent of hand soap. What a terrible move on Softsoap's part.

Awful Smell

I've bought your aloe vera soap for 25 years and cannot no longer buy it because of being allergic to the new fragrance. I've had to go to the inconvenience of ordering online from stores in the hopes of finding the old formula. By changing to a new fragrance you have risked people's health with asthma and allergic reactions. I've read your feedback on other customer reviews telling people to buy your other fragrant soaps. That's not how perfume sensitivity works. We risk going to the doctors with trying new fragrances. The smell is so bad my mom and sister couldn't tolerate it. Extremely bad PR move with making a fragrance stronger. Clearly no user testing or customer persona research was done.

The new scent is awful! Why did you change such a great product? I used to buy it because there was no overpowering scent. I will not purchase again.

This "new scent" is awful and very strong. Please bring back the "classic" almost no-scent formula!

STINKS!!!

I too have been using this product for years because it was unscented. I am allergic to this new formula. The smell is so strong and it is tearing up my hands. What did you guys do? It seems I can't get the old stuff so I will find another brand.

SMELLS BAD AND TOO STRONG

The new version of the aloe vera scent SMELLS HORRIBLE. I am glad to see other reviews mention the same thing. I will definitely never purchase the aloe scent again (unless they go back to the original), so thank goodness the new version of the milk & honey scent only seems to be stronger (why though??) and not both stronger and different/worse.
