New formula is terrible

I used to love this soap And it was the only soap I used for hand wash for many years
It was gentle on my skin and had only a trace of any smell, absolutely no perfume smell.

The new formula is just terrible and I will never buy it again. The first time I put in the refill with the new version, I was immediately aware that it was different. The smell is awful. It stays on the hands after you finish washing. Even the feel of it on the skin afterwards seems different, more drying
I hope that the company reads all of these reviews, I Understand that the reason we bought this soap. And if they want their loyal customers to continue buying it, they need to return to the previous formula

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This soothing clean scent is horrible....flares my allergies. The original Soothing Aloe Vera was perfect, smelled clean and I could use it.

Too Smelly

I used to love this soap because of it's mild fragrance. But then you went and changed the product. Those of us like to wash our hands before we eat would prefer to not be overpowered by soapy smells every time we raise a fork or spoon to our lips, or take a sip of coffee and smell its aroma instead of the stench of your Aloe Vera Fresh Scent Liquid Hand Soap!
I was lucky enough to buy several refills of the old version, but now that I've run out I'm annoyed enough to tell you that this new and improved product of yours is truly horrid. The smell is not just too strong and overbearing, it's stinky as well. You've lost yet another Soft Soap Customer.

New Scent is Unpleasant!

I used Softsoap brand Soothing Clean Aloe Vera liquid soap exclusively throughout my home for many, many years. The product was simply perfect! It kept my hands moisturized through frequent hand washing and had the loveliest fresh, clean fragrance. I am so disappointed that the company has changed the scent. I have truly tried to adjust to the new scent, but I cannot. It does not smell fresh or clean to me. It actually leaves my hands smelling unpleasant. I was a dedicated loyal customer that must now move on. I am writing this review in hopes the company will consider going back to the lovely original clean scent one day.

Why did you change the scent when it was amazing how it was? This new scent lingers and smells like it’s expired or something. And it doesn’t even expire for another two years. Disgusting. I’m sitting here thinking what is that awful scent? And it’s the new aloe scent. Terrible

The new formula (renamed Softsoap Soothing Clean) has an unpleasant and stronger scent and it is not as moisturizing as it used to be. As a preschool teacher I need to wash my hands frequently and would exclusively use Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera. I gave it a several week try but it's just too smelly and drying to continue using. Sadly,I now need to find a different product.

HORRIBLE! UNUSABLE! IF I WANTED PERFUME, I'D BUY PERFUME! And I see you're having trouble selling it at 99¢ at our big grocery store... not surprised!

Bad smell

What a disappointment! We have been buying this product for years and when we recently purchase it we realized that the scent had changed to this very perfumed odor. So not only was the container downsized from 64 to 50 oz (same price) this new smell it just awful. Someone needs to be reviewed for making this decision. I see by the other reviews I am not alone you need to change it back. Additionally there was no mention of the change in scent.
