It really does stink

I've been using the aloe vera Softsoap for probably 25 years. I always loved the way it didn't have an overpowering fragrance and it was one of the few liquid hand soaps I could use without my knuckles cracking open in the winter. Well, the new formula is no good! It is more drying than the previous version, and it smells SO BAD I don't think I'll even finish out the bottle at the kitchen sink. I can't stand having it in the house.
Cons: Unpleasant Smell
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Never Again!

Our family has been using this product for years as it has been a soap with a very subtle smell that does not cause our allergies or migraines to flare up. However, with this new change of scent, no one in our family can use this soap any longer, as it not only dries out our hands, but also causes serious migraines, and our allergies to flare up and the terrible smell with not wash away. We will no longer be buying this product! Please return to the original scent and formula so that we can return to using your products. This was a terrible choice to try a new formula fragrance on a soap that many people with sensitivities use.

So disappointed in the new scent.

I'm so disappointed. Bought two big refills, but the smell is so strong and unpleasant, there is no way I can use them. Plus, it's drying out my hands so bad. Before this scent change, I would go to multiple stores if I had to in order to find the original. I don't know what hand soap I'll use now, but not soft soap.

New Formulation Stinks and Causes Itching

I am very disappointed in the new formulation. I have used the previous Aloe Vera formulation for years. The previous product had a light pleasant smell that did not linger on hands or in the sink area. The new Aloe Vera formulation stinks during use and is strong, leaving a stench on hands and in the sink area. The former Aloe Vera was soothing and moisturizing. The new Aloe Vera is drying and causes my hands to itch.

Horrible headache inducing Scent!

I honestly do not understand why you would change a light clean smelling soap (which I've purchased by the case for almost 10 years or more) to this HORRENDOUS smell you guys have formulated. It is so overpowering and honestly sickening to smell. This is the first time I've ever washed my hands with one of your products, and had to go rewash my hands with dishwashing liquid to calm the stench. And it still stays around. The old version of this soap was the only soap that didn't flare up my dermatitis on my hands. Guess who is broke out after using this new product? The smell is so nauseating it gives me a headache. What were you all thinking? So very disappointed!

New scent obnoxious

I agree with other previously loyal customers. The new scent is powerful and terrible. I will not buy any more Softsoap until or unless they revert to the old, very lightly scented Aloe scent. They need at least one product with little or no scent like the old Aloe product. Now they have ruined it.

Why change the formula?

The old formula was the ONLY soap I could tolerate with my sensitive skin. I ran out and bought the new formula. The scent is way too strong and now my cuticles are wrecked.
