Smells Delightful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hand soap smells so good. It’s nice and thick and lathers very nicely. It leaves your hands smelling good and gets rid of germs and bacteria. Your hands don’t feel dry after using. It’s gentle enough for kids which is a big bonus so I’m not purchasing multiple hand soaps. This is a nice hand soap

Soothing Clean Softsoap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the soothing clean softsoap in the fresh aloe scent. It isn’t a watery soap that is useless to put on, it has a fresh, clean scent, and it helped to get dirt out from under my fingernails.

Makes my hands soft!

Stinky new fragrance

I’m glad I noticed that the label said new fragrance before I purchased. I opened the top to check the scent and it was awful. You ruined a perfectly good product and I will not be buying it again.

Was perfect, now ruined with new fragrance

After having my first child 14 years ago I developed dry, cracked hands for the first time due to frequent hand washing. I was so thrilled to find Softsoap aloe vera, which has been the only soap my family has used since. Although I prefer unscented products, the scent was light and soap like. The formula was truly moisturizing and never dried out my hands. It was really tough during Covid to have to use other soaps due to high demand and short supplies. Sadly, the formula was recently updated with a “fresh scent”. It’s horrible! There are so many scented hand soap options available for those who prefer that option - Softsoap really should have left this formula alone as it was perfect the way it was. After being a loyal customer for 14 years, our family is now in search of a new unscented or lightly scented option. It’s amazingly difficult to find a hand soap that is both unscented and moisturizing. I really hope that softsoap will change back to the old formula, which really had a unique role in the hand soap market. I’m terribly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best soap on the market ruined by new scent

I have been using this soap for years. I would imagine that I have purchased 50-80 refill bottles in the last 15 years or so. The most recent refill bottle I purchased had a very nasty surprise, a new scent. It's overpowering! The worst part about it is that if I wash my hands and try to hand-feed my dogs anything they can clearly smell it and they dislike it more than I do. I'm going to have to try Equate or the imposter brand I saw at Menards now. I used to love this soap, but I'll have to move to an inferior product that hasn't ruined their soap by adding an overpowering and very artificial aroma. I am very disappointed to say the least.

Gets the job done well

The soap arrived and right when I opened the box I could smell it. Thesmell was light but very good. It days aloe but it smelled sweet to me.
The bottle shape was pretty standard for a container of hand soap and nothing special to write home about but it wasnt a complaint either.
The pump was easy to use the firstime. Push down and twist to open and it works like a standard pump. Easy. I did not like how soap came out of the neck of the bottle right when I opened it. It seems wasteful but I will add that every bottle of soap seems to do that so I think it might be all personal preference.
It foNed well when being used. The smell lingered about 30 minutes afteruse. Good overLl.
