Bought to backup all my old photos (70 years worth)- total size 412 Gbyte. 3/4 loaded (took hours), then received message "unable to copy, file too big for operating system: (jpeg file, 1,6 mbyte)". so closed the computer, tried again. Recognises it as a USB Flash drive, but message "Windows cannot access device", so can't even format/repair drive! $90 down toilet

Needed an external drive for my Bell PVR so that I can record and rewind a show I’m watching. Plugged it in the Bell Box. It formatted the thumb drive. Took 10 minutes. Used this one because I can’t have a storage device larger than 750gb. Bell box can’t format anything larger. This one being 512gb works great!!!

Worked great for school as a backup for my documents/reports, but before the semester could even finish, it started corrupting my folders one by one and I couldn't delete the 200+GB of crap that was suddenly on it. Waste of money, luckily I had everything on my PC and only lost a couple of small things.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Drive failed on first use

In mid process of backing up my files (Documents and Pictures) Drive completely failed. Using three different third party partitioning programs and Windows Diskpart command nothing could be done to repair drive. To be fair bought a second one same make and size which worked flawlessly. Appears to be a factory related issue.
