Perfect for our Farmhouse

The product has exceeded expectations. We went with the Steel 50" sideline. The installation was simple and straight forward. Everyone that has seen it can't believe how real it looks. The numerous settings provide many different options that can really change the overall look. Compared to the gas installation we were looking at, this ended up being a home run. No Maintenance, MUCH lower cost, with nearly the same look but that we can run it year round!!

Front piece poor fit loses star

Overall, we like the look of the fireplace that we have mounted into the wall in our basement pub. (It does extend out slightly more than an inch because there is a bathroom on the other side of the wall so the wall depth was limited but framing around the fireplace solves that issue. The only problem is that the connecting mechanism for the "steel mesh" front piece is not tight and makes for a significant amount of in-and-out play. As a result, the front piece does not sit flush with the rest of the fireplace unless one is very careful to not to touch or disturb the too-loose front piece once it is pushed in against the rest of the unit. I thought that perhaps we had received a defective front piece but my emails to the company went unanswered when I requested a replacement.
