[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the bowl about three weeks ago and have used it every week since. The boule recipe is particularly good. The crust is delicious. I am today cooking the chocolate and cherry bread recipe to take for a dinner party tonight. My house smells fabulous
I'm still playing around with it but it's good so far. It doesn't make a large loaf - maybe the size of a cob loaf, but that works for me for a couple of days. It's quite a wet dough, but the bread it makes is really lovely - I add improver to the dough and the bread is still fresh enough for sandwiches for the next couple of days. I'm yet to experiment with other flours, seeds, etc but it's on the horizon. The negatives are (if they are negative), it does take up most of the room in my oven which makes taking the bowl off after half an hour a bit tricky as I need to almost remove the whole thing to remove the bowl - ie: it's not like just taking the top off a casserole dish, but that's a small negative for the product it produces.
Received as early Christmas present, have used twice in a week and found it easy to use, with great results following the recipe provided. Only downside is the loaf is small (2 1/2 cups flour) due to bowl not able to handle larger capacity. On the whole though, I love it.
A great addition to my Kitchen Aid collection. The use of one bowl to Mix and Knead and Rise, then converts to a Dutch Oven to Bake is genius. The inverted lid can then double as a platter to serve the warm crusty bread. Makes baking so easy. The end result Reminiscent of the breads of the South of France. For a Bread Baking Junkie it is a must have.
