I had to charge my phone with this folded up and and facing down, no way to charge standing up unless you have something to hold your phone up because the magnet does diddly squat and the charging zone is tiny while the wire sticking out the back doesn't let you set up this up at a shallow angle. I had to fiddle the dock around on top of my face-down phone and feel for the vibration to know it was charging and hope no one accidentally nudges it for the next hour.
FYI the cute little hole in base panel is useless because if you do put the wire though there, you won't have a flat base. Moreover, if you try to set it up at a shallow angle, it won't clear the required curve unless you have an extremely short lead. Clearly it was never tested for the way they market it.
Ive had this for about 3 months and its just all of a sudden stopped working. It says its charging my phone but somehow drains the battery. I have to take my case off to use it and it dosent even charge my phone? 1/10. Do not recommend.
Effectively charged phone, fairly quickly, but I had to tape my S22 to it because the magnet isn't strong enough to hold the phone in place. When you put it on, the phone will start to rotate, and eventually fall off. I put a piece of scotch tape on the outside, and it help the phone in place, and it charged without issue.
I mean it’s been almost 3 hours and I’m not even at 50% on an iPhone 14 Pro, maybe this is “fast charging” for a snail. I see on the website here that it says (at the very bottom) it charges android at 15 W and iOS at 7.5W so maybe that’s why - but that is not listed anywhere on the box (I went back to check!!)
This will not work with my Pixel 7, bare or in case, as the magnetic hold is very weak so it slides off, at least with a smooth surface phone or case. The USB C cable port placement (back of upright, perpendicular) makes it impossible to position at a slope lower than about 45 degrees, a problem not apparent on packaging or photos here; it cannot lie anywhere near flat in use. The hole in the bottom plate is pointless as a cable through it makes the base wobble. It does not come with a charging block (while stating 15W hints that it might). It does include an USB A-C cable. I'll return the two I bought.
